Early life
Andreas Nikolaus Lauda, named Niki, was born in Vienna in early 1949. His father and once again his father was an industrial entrepreneur, which was why young lada grew in a fairly rich and financially safe environment. He is a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
At the age of fifteen, Niki Lauda bought her first car, VW Beetle Cabriolet. He is very proud of that, but also requires a lot of money, which is why he took a vacation work as a truck passenger. It has been in the sixth year and the seventies of Niki Lauda won several small competitions. In 1973, when he was only active in Formula 1 for two years, the young driver finished third at the Monaco Grand Prix. This made him a contract with Ferrari, among others, and over time, Lauda helped the team to success in the industry.
Success in the seventies. In 1974 Lauda won his first grand prix and ranked fourth in the entire season, the following year he received a world title in Germany. He drove Nürburgring in less than seven minutes and was the first Ferrari driver who was awarded the World Formula 1 title since 1964. Another victory at the World Championship was followed in 1977, after that Austria named Lauda Sportsman of the Year.
Niki Lauda received a third and last World Cup victory in 1984. This season he won five times and won the championship with half a point. In total, Lauda collected 420 world championship points, 54 podiums were completed and more than 1,500 leadership rounds for fourteen years of active. After him, the Austrian athlete award not only changed its name to “Niki”, there was also Niki-Lauda-Allee.
